Cheers to NAMRIA and kudos to its human resources, employees and officials alike, for its milestone achievement in fostering a high-performing culture and commitment to excellence in people practices!

On 05 January 2018, Ms. Teresita A. Villanueva of the Investors in People (IiP) Philippines delivered the good news that NAMRIA achieved accreditation for international standards on good people management practices provided under the sixth-generation IiP standard. She presented the results during the feedback meeting held at the NAMRIA Lecture Hall, attended by the agency’s officials, middle managers, and employee representatives. NAMRIA is the second National Government Agency to be IiP accredited, next to the Civil Service Commission.

In 2017, NAMRIA conducted activities for people management international standards assessment and accreditation, namely: Online Survey Administration, Context Discussion and Assessment Planning, and Onsite Assessment. The agency was assessed using the IiP four-stage performance model (Developed, Established, Advanced, and High Performing) across nine indicators. These indicators include (1) Leading and Inspiring People; (2) Living the Organisation’s Values and Behaviors; (3) Empowering and Involving People; (4) Managing Performances; (5) Recognising and Rewarding High Performance; (6) Structuring Work; (7) Building Capability; (8) Delivering Continuous Improvement; and (9) Creating Sustainable Success.

In order to meet the accreditation level, organisations are required to meet all nine performance indicators of the developed performance model. In here, “the appropriate principles and practices are in place and communicated and people and leaders know what is expected of them.” NAMRIA is now aiming to achieve higher IiP award levels for the agency’s people management practices.
