DENR Secretary Cimatu visits NAMRIA

NAMRIA officials and employees welcomed newly-appointed DENR Secretary Roy A. Cimatu during his visit to the agency on 12 May 2017. The visit came two days after the turnover of leadership in DENR was held, and four days after his appointment as DENR Secretary.

During the briefing, Administrator Peter N. Tiangco introduced the NAMRIA officials to the Secretary and presented updates on major programs, activities and projects, organizational milestones, international commitments, and the NAMRIA audio visual presentation. The briefing aimed to familiarize the Secretary about NAMRIA’s mandate as the central mapping agency, repository, and dissemination facility for natural resources data in the form of maps, charts, texts, and statistics.

Also present in the briefing were DENR Central Office officials, namely: Atty. Ernesto D. Adobo, Jr., Undersecretary for Attached Agencies, and Atty. Michelle Angelica D. Go, Assistant Secretary for Field Operations-Mindanao.
