Training Programs for 2016 ESD Retooling Program held

NAMRIA, in partnership with MFI Foundation Inc., conducted a series of training programs on 26 September – 23 October 2016 that focused on the following areas, namely:  Basic and Advanced Programmable Logic Control (PLC); Vehicle Maintenance and Troubleshooting; and Industrial Electricity with Motor Control Circuit. These training programs were held at the NAMRIA ONE office in NAMRIA Fort Bonifacio and at the MFI Foundation Inc. Ortigas Campus.

The training programs aimed to enhance the technical competencies and upskill the Engineering Services Division (ESD) staffers, who play a major role in the attainment of NAMRIA’s objective to develop, upgrade and sustain the functional capacity of equipment and facilities towards enhanced organizational capacity.

The training programs are aligned with the ESD Retooling Program for 2016 which is a capacity development plan for ESD staff to improve their performance and service delivery.

A graduation ceremony for the participants was held at the NAMRIA Lecture Hall on 24 October 2016. In his opening remarks, GISMB Director John Santiago F. Fabic mentioned that each one of the participants has a responsibility to contribute to the organization, more so to the implementation of our Quality Management System, regardless of position held.

Three  individuals were given special recognition for being at the top of their class, namely,  Lady P. Smith for the PLC  Program, Raymund Sicad for the Vehicle Maintenance Program, and Ramuel Gatacelo for the Industrial Electricity Program.
 
The special guest speaker for the ceremony was Engr. Vladimir Santos, Director of the Business Development and Marketing department of MFI. Engr. Santos congratulated the graduates and wished that may they use their newfound knowledge positively in strengthening NAMRIA as an organization.

In closing, Administrative Division Chief Concepcion A. Bringas conveyed to the participants that the training programs will help them perform their duties properly, efficiently, and effectively. The ceremony ended with a photo opportunity for all the participants, special guests and attendees.
