NAMRIA donates cleaning essentials to KJCIS and CPTES for DepEd’s Brigada Eskwela 2026
In support of the Department of Education's (DepEd) Brigada Eskwela 2026 with the theme, "Bayanihan sa Paaralan: Nagkakaisa para sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman," the National Mapping and Resource Information Authority (NAMRIA), through its Bayanihang Bayan Desk (BBD) and Youth Group (YG), donated cleaning essentials to Kapt. Jose Cardones Integrated School (KJCIS) and Ciriaco P. Tinga Elementary School (CPTES) to help promote clean, safe, and conducive learning environments. The initiative highlights NAMRIA’s support for the "Kaayusan" component of the Brigada Eskwela theme by contributing to the cleanliness and orderliness of school facilities, while also forming part of the agency’s continuing efforts under the guidance and leadership of NAMRIA Administrator Usec. Peter N. Tiangco, PhD, CESO I, to advance community-centered programs that promote education and volunteerism.

PIGIM and Project HELM among key topics at NAMRIA's National Hydrographic Summit
The development of the Philippine Integrated Geospatial Information Management (PIGIM) and Hydrography Excellence through Leadership and Modernization (Project HELM) were among the key topics discussed during the National Hydrographic Summit 2026, organized by the National Mapping and Resource Information Authority (NAMRIA) and held at Shangri-La The Fort, Manila, located in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Taguig City on 18 June 2026. The summit underscored the agency's commitment to advancing hydrographic modernization and integrated geospatial information management in support of national development.

NAMRIA empowers the maritime community through Basic Hydrography Training Program
The National Mapping and Resource Information Authority (NAMRIA) successfully conducted the second session of its Basic Hydrography Training Module 1 from 01 to 05 June 2026, building on the success of the inaugural session held on 16-19 March 2026. The first four days of the training were conducted at the Conference Room of the NAMRIA Hydrography Branch (HB) in San Nicolas, Manila, while the final day was held virtually. Conducted under the guidance and leadership of NAMRIA Administrator Usec. Peter N. Tiangco, PhD, CESO I, the training forms part of the agency’s continuing efforts to strengthen the country’s hydrographic capabilities and foster collaboration among maritime stakeholders.
