The NAMRIA One-Stop-Shop provides advice and assistance to a wide range of users whose needs range from "how to read a map" to "ordering a digital map that can be used for GIS purposes.

For the low-end user, the OSS can assist him/her in determining the type of product that can be used, where it is located and then to request a copy by fax or telephone. Furthermore, an OSS technical staff can teach the user how to use the information, e.g. read and interpret the map.

NAMRIA serves as the depository of all base map reproducibles, aerial negatives and space imageries; and service the mapping and reprography requirements of various government agencies.

NAMRIA continued to lead in providing services particularly in the conduct of water, coastal and land surveys. These include:

1) the provision of geodetic controls used for land surveys and production of maps;

2) the conduct of hydrographic and oceanographic surveys used by mariners, marine scientists, fishermen and people involved in coastal development; and

3) land classification surveys.

NAMRIA publishes and packages information materials as part of the agency's IEC activities. This is to increase the awareness of its present and prospective customer's on NAMRIA's various functions, programs, projects, technological capabilities, products and services.

Among the publications available for free are the Infomapper, Notice to Mariners and GIS Link. The Tides and Currents Tables are for sale.
