NAMRIA was created pursuant to the merging of four agencies namely: the National Cartographic Authority (NCA), the Bureau Of Coast & Geodetic Surveys (BCGS), the Natural Resources Management Center (NRMC), and the Land Classification Teams based at the Bureau of Forest Development (BFD).

The governance and policy direction of our organization is provided by a five-member Board of Governors, and an Administrator who is assisted by three (3) Deputy Administrators.

There are five (5) departments with four (4) divisions each.
