10.02.08 - PRS92 launched in La Union The launching of the Philippine Reference System of 1992 (PRS92) project in this province was held on 26 September 2008 at the Diego Silang Hall, Provincial Capitol, San Fernando City. In attendance were key officials and representatives from the city, municipality, and provincial governments and the regional office of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources. 09.26.08 - Exemplary civil servant NAMRIA was placed on the map of distinction when the much coveted and prestigious Dangal ng Bayan Award was conferred on Director Virgilio F. Basa of the Remote Sensing and Resource Data Analysis Department. He received the award from Her Excellency President Gloria M. Arroyo during the ceremony held on 19 September 2008 at the Malacañang Palace. 09.22.08 - Students visit NAMRIA The Information Management Department (IMD) hosted and facilitated the conduct of orientation and tour of NAMRIA facilities for visiting International Studies students of the University of the East last 17 September. 07.16.08 - East Asia Hydrographic Commission Meeting slated in the Philippines Chief hydrographers and marine officers of the member states of the East Asia Hydrographic Commission (EAHC), the regional arm of the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO), will convene for the EAHC Electronic Navigational Chart (ENC) Taskgroup Meeting to be held at the Waterfront Hotel in Lahug, Cebu City on 16-18 July 2008. 07.09.08 - NAMRIA celebrates 21st anniversary The officials and employees of the National Mapping and Resource Information Authority (NAMRIA) led by Administrator Diony A Ventura will celebrate on 11 July 2008 the 21st anniversary of the agency with Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Secretary Jose L. Atienza, Jr. as the Guest-of-Honor and Congressman Jose G. Solis of the 2nd District of Sorsogon as Special Guest. 07.08.08 - GAD workshop conducted Through the advocacy of Administrator Diony A. Ventura to support gender and development (GAD) programs in the agency, NAMRIA conducted a workshop on Harmonized GAD held on 25-26 June 2008 at the Lecture Hall. Eighteen employees from the different departments participated in the event which aimed to review existing GAD guidelines to ensure that GAD principles are mainstreamed in the workplace. |
