Lucky me for at my age (I am 24, a GE), I have been a part of this PRS 92 Project as our company has been one of the qualified contractors of the project.

I had personally presented accomplishment report in behalf of our company during the series of Program Review and Analysis held at NAMRIA Office. My appeal is about the established monuments. Not all presentors(contractors) were able to present sample pictures of their established monuments and I just fear that there are monuments which were not properly marked w/ the corresponding inscriptions.

I fervently hope that every contractor is responsible in using markers (readable inscriptions on the face of the monument) as this was emphasized during the PRA. I do believe too that inspectors didn't approve monuments established with unreadable markings.

Readable inscriptions will be one factor in the preservation of these monuments by the locals, as "how could they respect something not beautiful in the eyes?"

A thing of beauty is a joy forever.

What is PRS92?
PRS92 or the Philippine Reference System of 1992 is a homogeneous national network of geodetic control points (GCPs), marked by concrete monuments or mojons, that has been established using Global Positioning System (GPS) technology.
