The National Mapping and Resource Information Authority (NAMRIA) surveys and maps the nation's land and water environment, primarily in support of the various programs of its mother unit, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources and the national government. Among its major mandates is to provide both the public and private sectors with map-making services as well as geographic and resource information

NAMRIA has always been at the forefront of utilizing advance technologies to provide accurate and up-to-date geographic and resource information through its surveying, mapping, charting, land classification, remote sensing and information management and dissemination services.
