Geodetic Control Points

The Geodetic Control Points (GCP) database is a facility that provides location points of GCPs that are used by geodetic engineers, surveyors, and cartographers to correctly position the rectify geodetic data.

 

 

Instructions:

  1. Use the Zoom In tool or the Zoom Box tool if you want to see more details of the location being searched and to display the municipality name. To pan the view so that the spot clicked is centered, use the Pan tool.
  2. If you want to view adjoining areas, use the Zoom Out tool or the Pan tool. The Zoom Out tool will reduce the view as if seen from farther away while the Pan tool will center the view so that the spot clicked is centered.
  3. To identify the GCP or to view the description of the GCP, select the Identify tool and click on the point of interest. A pop-up window will appear, if not, make sure that you have allowed pop-ups in your browser.
  4. Use the Zoom to Fit tool if you want to view the entire map again.
  5. You can deselect any select point or polygon by moving the mouse out of the map and click.
